Conner's first birthday/party!

THEME: Cookie-Monster + Elmo

this idea was from pinterest, and although I loved it, it took a long time!
CONNER STREET :)
The blue table was for COOKIE MONSTER/Conner
and the red table was ELMO/Caleb
This is where we had the food.
Clearly, I didn't get around to snapping a photo when everything got finished and filled-up.
 Go me!

This was on the present table!

Conner and Caleb had a joint birthday bash. Conner's theme was cookie-monster because he's been nicknamed that since he was first born from his da-da. His cousin Caleb is into Elmo so his mama went with a Elmo themed party idea and so together we threw a seaseme street  party. A lot of the cute decorations I didn't get a picture of like the custom water bottle wrappers and the paper-straws I was proud of! If we are being completley honest, I was a complete shit show this entire weekend because of the long to-do lists and million projects I had going on.  I don't do well with a lot of stress, yet I overdue everything I touch so I was constantly at it with myself and I still am deciding if a joint party added to the stress or helped with it, but I'm leaning towards helped it :)

Conner got a variety of toys from all our family and friends. Some of his favorites include a helium balloon, a big boy chair and a car. I'm most excited about the clothes he got, he is going to be one stylish mo-fo. He has lots of new outfits to choose from and our house officially is a shitshow from the piles of toys we now own. My grandma picked out a pretty snazzy ABC Train! The alphabet train is a little advanced for him so he sits in front of it for a good minute trying to figure it out before sprinting full force and doing a face plant into his chair. The whole scene is to-die for. Cuteness Overload.

Here is the balloon Conner was chasing around for three days straight.
His big boy chair from auntie Heather :)

This is Conner's favorite toy! His car from grandma :)

Of course with his actual birthday starting on Friday, we had a tiny celebration throughout the day in between decorating and running errands. He got to hear happy birthday multiple times while we tried to get our shit together. The first time we started singing we forgot the candle, than had no lighter to light the candle, than he had ran away from the cake to find a toy resulting in us singing happy birthday about 4x. He can probably recite it back to us if we asked nicely :)

The chocolate cake we drove around for 30 minutes trying to find
only for him to not even touch it......
This was Friday/ Poor baby was teething!

The day of the party... the plan was to wake up at 7am, and we woke up at 10am. Right there I knew this day wasn't going to go as planned. Than we couldn't find his tie that we got made so we had to spend the first half of the morning at the mall getting it made again. We really need to get organized! haha

We had my grandma meet us at party city to fill up the balloons since she had the reciept and they swore up & down you couldn't fill them up without the reciept. So... Grandma drives down to the store only to not get asked for the reciept even once. Just our luck right? Well, I couldn't have done any of this fabulous party without my grandma. She somehow threw herself full force into the planning and helped make my dream of this Elmo/Cookie Monster party come to life!!! She's straight from heaven, I swear! I love grandma so much :)

Guests were able to indulge in some spiked punch, mikes hard lemonade, kool-aide and bud light with lime. Conner and his cousin Caleb were on completely opposite schedules so when Conner was napping, Caleb was up and when Caleb slept, Conner was ready to open presents. We finally had them up together at the same time only long enough to get a tiny cake smash session in where Conner felt smashing mama and dada's face into cake was definitely necessary. Meanwhile, his cousin Caleb was gracefully eating the cupcake like a pro. Nearly had a crumb out of place. Those boys are about as opposite as the birds & bees, but they are without a doubt the cutest boys in da world.

Conner took off ALL the decorations to his highchair right before his cake-smash.
Mama was not happy about that, but birthday boys
tend to do what they want.

Overall, I am beyond happy with how his party turned out and had a blast. A lot of friends came out and a lot of family spoiled him. I couldn't have done it without my hottie hubby. He keeps me in check and is my biggest fan all the time. This all happened because we made a incredibly cute baby.

 Conner makes our family complete.
I am beyond excited that I have 17 more birthdays to plan

XOXOX.

We missed all of my family who live on the other side of the country.
This is for you :)
