Hello There-
We have been so busy since Conner turning one that I haven't had time to update. Conner is almost 15 months! It's awesome! My little boy isn't so little anymore. If you aren't a Mom, you probably get sick of us moms being babies and complaining of how fast time goes by, but the truth is no amount of complaining could prepare you for how fast things really DO go by and if you don't stop and take it all in, it'll pass you right up. I love how big he is getting. It's the highlight of my life.
Here is some of the fun memories we've been making with our little boy over the last few months!
His own little broom to help mama sweep :)
This is his face when he's doing his loud, big belly laugh! it's to-die-for.
Don't worry! we weren't driving. He just wanted to sit like daddy does
He gets really excited! Are these not the cutest and craziest faces ever?
We celebrated the first day of fall by
wearing a cute little fall outfit and decorating the house together
His first trip to the beach!
His halloween PJ's.
he loves playing outside!
This is after trying something sour..
He thought he was hiding pretty well... So i went with it...
his first spaghetti meal!
He loves trying on our clothes.
He isn't much of a TV fanatic, but he listened to me
when I asked him to go sit in his big-boy chair so I had to snap a pic!
Nicknames:
Conner Bear, Bug, Monster Man, Duckie, Bear-Bear, Little Man
Loves:
Conner loves climbing on all things dangerous and not meant for climbing. He loves going outside and he loves when he gets to walk all by himself for long distances. He loves taking the lids off of drinks and putting them back on. He loves feeding himself with a spoon (although it's a very messy expierence, we let him get the practice a few times a week), playing with his cousin Caleb and his occasional sleepovers with Grandma Dee! He loves grabbing a book with lots of pictures to for reading time (I'm not sure who loves it more, me or him). He likes to dance! He even has his own little dance, which we call his happy happy happy dance [courtesy of duck dynasty] where he stomps his feet 1,000 MPH while wiggiling back & forth! He loves going underwater in bath time (scares the crap out of me every time)
Hates:
Conner hates diaper changing time unless we are putting baby powder on him than he laughs hysterically at the fact we are throwing powder on his bum-bum. He does not like wearing socks or shoes. He doesn't like when Mom or Dad leave him alone. He also hates sitting in the shopping cart, so much that he has found a way to escape that so-called 'seat belt' so we are forced to set him in the bigger section of the cart where he throws everything out of the cart. If we are being honest, there isn't much this little man doesnt like. He even has a good time when he is suppose to be in "time-out". He starts playing with himself or ends up falling asleep right away.
Favorite Things: He is a huge fan of his ba-ba. He LOVES sweeping [so much that we got him his own little broom]. He loves water in any form: puddles, baths, swimming, showers, rain, etc. He loves his car that gram-gram got him. He gets down to #23 by Miley Cyrus. He likes exploring the car when he is allowed and pretending to drive or swaying back and forth with windshield wipers. He likes to give hugs and shout "HI!" when we are shopping to strangers.
Personality: Conner is such a character. He really takes the iniative to learn any and all things! He is not afraid of meeting new people and loves carrying on conversations with people with the few words he does know. He walks, runs, hops, skips and definitley knows how to throw down on the floor when a good tantrum comes knocking. Jeffrey and I take bets on how his personality will play out as he gets older! I totally see myself in him constantly between his high energy and endless need to be learning something way out his league or his temper that can go from 1 to 10 and end in a laugh all in a matter of seconds.
Communication: Conner AMAZES me at how much he knows each and every day. I said bath time yesterday and he went straight into the bath and started to [try] and take off his clothes. He pays really close attention to detail so when I start to tie-up the trash bag, he claps his hands and waits for me at the front door since he knows the next step is taking it out there. He knows how to properly use: Ba-ba, bye, Hi, uh-oh, up, eat, uck/ew and a few other easy words.
Physicality: Conner is a chunky butt. He weighs about 26 lbs and size 5 in diapers already! Size 18 months in clothes and size 5/6 in shoes.
Sleeping: Conner has a really routine bedtime. He goes in for bed with a bottle around 9pm and sleeps until about 9am. He doesn't wake up usually at all, but if he does, it's for a bottle in which he goes straight back to bed afterwards!
Thanks for sharing CareBear it's almost like I live there and get to experience this cutie pie in person. Miss you like crazy! XOXOXOXO (that's a set for each of you...well 2 for Conner :))
